This time of year is usually set aside for planning and setting goals for the coming year.
While many people I speak to are feeling exhausted and just looking for some rest time, once we’ve had a break we start to get excited about the possibilities for the new year.
What better way to get 2013 off to a great start than to do some goal-setting.
However, goal-setting can be a challenge for many people. One of the issues is that the goals we set are generally DOING goals.
At Aviel, our focus is on who you are BEING rather than what you are DOING. This is what we focus on using astrology as our primary tool.
To help get you thinking in the right mode I’m passing on some comments I recently received from Padraig O’Sullivan from the edge partnership. What do these goals do for you?

Here’s what Padraig had to say.
Having studied peak performance for many years I know that “doing” goals are in them selves not enough. “Being” goals are equally important. For 2013 I am choosing to have goals around “being”. Here are some goals that encompass ‘being’, adapted from Chris Guillebeau, author of “The Art of Non Conformity”.
BEING GOALS for 2013
1.To wake in the morning full of life and energy, awaiting the day with anticipation and purpose. To step out into the world ready to accomplish a significant task instead of merely responding to what happens.
2. To maintain harmony and goodwill in relationships. To focus on contribution and engagement instead of withdrawal into yourself.
3. To pursue productive, meaningful work. To spend most of your time doing something that you and others find meaningful.
4. To pay attention to how you feel. Not because everything is supposed to feel good, but because how you feel is a good reflection of your overall state of being.
5.To refuse to rest on your laurels. To accept that what you’ve already done is in the past. To forge ahead!
