“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way.” (Thus starts Charles Dickens’ Tale of Two Cities.) It was, in fact, last week.
As I wrote in my previous post, we are living in a doggy hospice. The lady with whom we are sharing the property is very much attached to her collection of dogs. Recently, one of them (Aussie) started having a series of fits. After trying everything they could think of as Aussie’s condition only deteriorated, she and the vet decided the best thing to do was to euthanase him. This was very upsetting for the entire household as Danita & I had become quite attached to him as well. There is an area in the yard which has been designated as the dog cemetery which now has its first occupant.
A day later Danita had to facilitate one of her She Business meetings. She’d been given feedback about needing to improve her stagecraft with respect to running the meetings and so was feeling a bit apprehensive about it. This was then added to by a somewhat hostile phone call that morning from one of her few remaining bookkeeping clients. As if that wasn’t enough, when she did get to the meeting the presenter didn’t have the right connector for the data projector from her computer. As you can imagine this all combined to make for a highly stressful start to the meeting.
For me, I started the week with a meeting with a good friend. Unfortunately, he had a calendar malfunction and had the meeting booked for the next day. Fortunately, I had meetings either side of this one and so my trip from Glenorie to the city wasn’t wasted but it did leave a big gap.
A couple of days later I was back in the city for an astrology reading. My client was a lady who lives in Coffs Harbour and was in Sydney to clear up her mother’s apartment as she’d recently passed away. When I arrived she informed me that in the process of sorting through her mother’s stuff she’d found the bracelet from the hospital which had the time of her birth. This was 2 hours earlier than the time her mother had told her and so the reports I’d prepared for the session were useless.
So there we’d had “the worst of times…”. What about the best?
For Katy – the dog lady – it was an offer from us to return to her place following a housesitting commitment we already have for September. This means she’ll be able to visit her daughter in London. Having Danita & me available to look after the house and dogs, it had been her intention to see her daughter and grandchild. Unfortunately, the Olympics meant that travel to London at this time of year was out of the question for her. So, Katy was very excited when we suggested that we’d come back later – so much so that she was almost in tears.
Danita had a wonderful She Business meeting. The presentation went extremely well and all the ladies had a wonderful time with excellent feedback.
My astrology session went very well. Fortunately, I had my laptop with me (which I use to record the session and then burn it to an mp3 CD) and I was able to redo the chart on the spot. Having the correct birthtime meant this reading resonated perfectly for my client and she has now enrolled in my coaching program which builds on the information from the reading.
(My objective when doing an astrology reading is to identify and give clarity to my client about their soul purpose and an understanding of the opportunities and challenges they have in achieving that in this lifetime. The coaching program is designed to take this knowledge and create a life which is consistent with the soul purpose. I’m very excited that this is happening with this client.)
Even Sancho has struck it lucky. We’ve been very particular about the amount we feed him. Lately, he seems to be a bit underweight and so we’ve been advised to feed him more – his idea of doggy heaven!
