Lately there have been a number of planets closely grouped together. These are: Saturn, Mercury, Venus and the Sun mainly in Libra and Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune with the Moon included between 25th and 29th October in Aquarius.
When there are 4 or more planets in a sign this is called an overloaded house. So what does this do? As the name suggests things become a tad overloaded. Have you noticed that you can manage quite well dealing with a few things but if there’s more demanding your attention it all becomes too much and you just have to run and hide. BTW if your life is like that all the time it could be you have one of these in your birth chart.
The evidence is that we can deal well with up to 3 things at once. However, adding a fourth causes us to not cope with anything (let’s not get into a discussion about women’s ability to multitask and time management etc etc at this point).
The houses in a chart represent the areas of our lives in which the archetypal energies symbolised by the planets have their affect on us. There are 12 houses and they cover things like: Personality & appearance; money & security; communication; pleasure, entertainment & hobbies; work & sickness; marriage & partnerships; death, inheritance & other people’s money; philosophy & long distance travel; life purpose & career; friends & wishes; self sacrifice & martyrdom.
Houses which have planets in them are the areas we put attention into in our lives. When one of these areas is overloaded we have a real need and drive to express ourselves in that category and so we’re constantly drawn towards it. However, it’s a bit like deciding you’re going to tidy your desk. You walk towards the office full of determination but as soon as you enter it and find the desk is so buried under papers you can’t see the desktop you decide it’s just too hard and you’ll do it another day. That’s what happens with overloaded houses – there’s so much to do you may find it all too hard and run away. You then put your energy into the opposite house and find that life just never seems to work for you.
Another effect is that irrespective of your Sun sign (which is what we mean by the birth sign) the person with an overloaded house will appear to be like a person whose Sun is in the sign which corresponds to the house. For example someone with an overloaded 9th house will have a lot of Sagittarian attributes even if they have no planets in Sagittarius.
So, how do you address this? Every planet represents energies which must have expression. If you don’t manage to do this in a controlled positive way it’ll force itself out often with painful or disastrous results. Returning to the point about dealing well with 3 things – what we need to do is to find ways to make the expression of at least some of the planets in the group operate in a subconscious way. Which planets and how to do this are beyond the scope of this blog but if you’re finding this seems a familiar pattern in your life or one of your loved one’s drop us a line and we’ll see what we can come up with for you.
Have a great week & make the world a better place for you having been in it.
