In the words of the Rolling Stones 1966 hit; “What a drag it is getting old”.
All sorts of strange things start to happen:
– you can’t hear as well
– you just want to sleep all day
– the things you used to do for fun have lost their appeal
– everything seems to take longer
– your eyesight doesn’t work as well
– you can’t do the things you used to do
– your confidence goes
– you become clingy, emotional and attached much more than you used to be
I am, of course talking about our dog, Sancho. (You didn’t think it was me did you???)
As a little dog in his 13th year we can see him slowing down and so it got me thinking about getting/being old.
