In my previous post I mentioned the Saturn-Uranus opposition that is one of the more significant aspects (angular relationships between planets) currently occurring.
Saturn represents the energy of giving form or the crystallising of ideas, beliefs, attitudes, systems etc while the principle represented by Uranus is revolution and change. As you can see these energies are in direct conflict with each other – while Saturn is attempting to give form to things Uranus is trying to break them down. The effect of this is that there is a great deal of tension around. Old ideas and ways of thinking are being broken down while new ones are becoming more standard and expected. Revolutionary approaches and ways of doing things are becoming the norm.
What does this mean for you? If you have a business you’ll find that the expectations of your staff and clients will be changing. With the advent of Web 2.0 (a very Uranian tool) the ways of connecting with people is moving into New Age techniques. (More on the New Age in future posts.)
Generally we see that people are looking for more personal satisfaction and fulfillment in their transactions rather than doing what they “should”. Finding new ways to express themselves, finding purpose and meaning in their lives are common drivers for people more-so than “having stuff” and in your business or personal interactions this needs to become your focus. See my article from April ’09 Nett magazine about staff loyalty.
In your personal life you’ll find that your current values are being challenged. This is a difficult time if you’re very settled into “that’s the way we’ve always done it” paradigm but if you’re open to new ideas, options and possibilities this is an exciting time. The challenge is not to “throw the baby out with the bathwater”. Just because something’s new and shiny doesn’t mean it’s the best thing for you. Utilise Saturn’s association with time to explore and evaluate all these great new things and crystallise those elements which are going to work for you.
